How to Interpret Your Serial Number
Your system's serial number includes two important pieces of information - the model and date of manufacture. You can use the date of manufacture to tell how old your system is. The serial number text is small and may be hard to see. It may be helpful to use your phone and take a picture of the serial number and then zoom in to see the numbers. Here's how to read your serial number:

Depending on the model, you can find your serial number under the top cover or on the outside of the housing.
Water Softeners
You can find your model and serial number on the softener's rim, right below the salt lid hinges.
Central Water Filtration System (EPWHCW)
You can find your serial number on the back of the top cover, above the plumbing connections.
