Worried how you'll know when your softener needs salt? The Salt Level feature makes maintaining your softener easy by letting you know when it's time to add more. By taking a moment to reset your softener's salt level whenever you add salt, you can make sure your softener lets you know whenever it gets low. Just follow these easy steps below. As a reminder, you'll want to keep your salt between the levels 2 - 5 on your brine well tube.

Model EPW140
1. Open the lid and add your salt.
2. Press the Select button until 'Set Salt Level' displays on the screen.
3. Press the Up/Down arrows until the number on the screen corresponds to the salt level.
4. When finished, press the Select button and the display should go back to the clock.
Model EPH130
1. Open the salt lid and add your salt.
2. Press the Select button until you see the words "Set Salt Level" on the display.
3. Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to adjust your salt level to match the current level in the tank.
4. Once you're finished, tap the Select button again until the clock shows.
Models EP40, EP200, and EPHY
1. Open the salt lid to check your salt level on the brinewell number scale.
2. Tap the Select button until you see the words "Set Salt Level" on the display.
3. Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to adjust your salt level to match the current level in the tank.
4. Once you're finished, tap the Select button again until the clock shows.
Models EP31, EP42, and EPHS (with Set Salt Level button)
1. Open the salt lid to check your salt level on the brinewell number scale.
2. Tap the Set Salt Level button to raise your salt level until the number of black bars on the left side of the display matches the salt level in your tank. This button is on the left side of the softener's controls:
That's it! You'll want to add more salt when your softener's status light starts to flash.
