Programming your softener with the correct model code is important because it ensures the system operates properly and efficiently. The model code tailors the softener's settings to match the specific unit's capacity, flow rate, and regeneration needs. Proper programming helps your softener run smoothly. Below we'll go through how to do that. Let's get started!
Before You Start
You'll need to find your appropriate Model Code below (right column) based on your water softener (left column). If you're unsure which water softener you have, look at the sticker on the inside rim of the tank, directly under the hinges of the salt lid. The model code can also be found in your Owner's Manual.
Water Softener | Model Code |
EP30 (30,000 grain) | o30 |
EP31 (31,000 grain) | EP31 or E31P |
EP40 (40,000 grain) |
o40 |
EP42 (42,000 grain) | EP42 or E42P |
EPHS (hybrid unit) | EPHS or EHSP |
EPHY (hybrid unit) | EPHy |
Ready to Program?
1. Go ahead and hold the Select button down until '000' appears on the screen, then let go.
2. Hold the Select button until you see 'Code' on the top of the screen. You may see the display change a few times while you're holding the button, before this 'Code' screen appears.
3. Find your appropriate Model Code on the screen. If the code on your screen isn't correct for your softener, you'll want to use the Up/ Down arrows to scroll through and find the correct code.
4. After you've got the right code on the screen, press the Select button to lock it in and return to the home screen.
