If your control board is blank, or the buttons are non-responsive, follow the instructions below to begin troubleshooting.
1. Do you see data displayed on the screen?
a. YES; Continue to step 2.
b. NO; Is the power cord connected securely to the control board? Does your outlet have sufficient power? Confirm your outlet is not hooked up to a light switch that may be turned off. If all of these are in order, you may need to replace the Control Board and Power Cord on your unit. If you are still under warranty, Contact Us for warranty info. Otherwise, replacement parts can be purchased here.
2. Remove the top cover by unhooking the two clips in the back, holding the cover onto the tank below.
3. Locate the control board on the underside of the cover. Four tabs hold each corner of the board to the lid. Remove the board by unclipping these tabs. Depending on your model, you may have a removable heat sheild covering the board.
4. With the board in your hands, look at the screen. Push the colored prongs that correspond to each button (pictured below). Feel free to push down, side to side, and wiggle the prongs to see if they respond.
a. If the button prongs respond, the board was most likely just seated too far away from the lid to push the buttons properly. Reattach the board, making sure it is snug against the lid.
b. If the buttons still do not respond, or if you notice any physical damage, we recommend replacing the Control Board. If you are still under warranty, Contact Us for warranty info. Otherwise, replacement parts can be purchased here.
